Privacy notice

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This notice explains what personal information the kiekie.app website collects and what we do with it, as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The short version: the site does not ask you for anything, sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking.

Who we are

Kiekie is operated by Intentio, [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME] (registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER]), [PHYSICAL ADDRESS]. For this website we are the responsible party under POPIA.

Our Information Officer is [INFORMATION OFFICER NAME]. You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

What this website collects

There are no forms, accounts, newsletters or sign-ups on this website, so we do not ask you for any personal information.

Like every web server, ours keeps standard server logs. Each time a page or image is requested, the log records your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the page that linked to it and your browser's user agent string. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure (for example to find faults and block abuse), which is a legitimate interest under section 11(1)(f) of POPIA. We do not use them to build profiles, and we do not sell or share them. Logs are deleted automatically after [LOG RETENTION PERIOD].

The website and its logs are hosted on our own servers in South Africa.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The fonts and images are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send your information to Google or any other third party.

To return you to the right spot when you go back a page, your browser keeps your scroll position in its own session storage. That stays on your device, is never sent to us and is cleared when you close the tab.

The Kiekie app

The Kiekie app is not available yet. When it launches, it will have its own privacy notice covering your account, the photo books you order, payment and delivery. This notice covers the website only.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, ask for a copy, and ask us to correct or delete it. You may also object to us processing it. Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this notice

If what the website collects changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
